Sometimes getting the right haircut with a variety of options in hair styles, even with extensions, is just not enough. The right hair color is needed to give it the perfect finishing touch. Applying even a gentle semi-permanent color over it may still be quite harsh.
It would be much better to try more natural and mild alternatives for correcting over-bleached hair. You can darken it using a thick paste made of one half cup of cocoa mixed with plain yoghurt. After your regular shampoo, apply this to your hair and let it stay for five minutes before rinsing. Some darkening may already be seen after one application. Three applications will bring more dramatic results. An alternative to cocoa would be coffee or black tea. Be careful in the application, though, because all three substances can stain clothing permanently.
For dull color, simply applying silicone products or spray on shine while styling may do the trick. Also use shine enhancing shampoo and conditioner for colored hair.
It is still best to go to a reputable hair salon in South Tampa for your hair color correction. Be prepared for the fact that sometimes the color correction cannot be accomplished with just one visit, especially with severely damaged hair. Color correction will have to be done along with damage control.
In some cases, fortunately, a simple application of a colorless gloss over dull hair color already works wonders. In other cases, weaving in highlights and lowlights solves the problem.
If your hair is too damaged, though, it may not be able to absorb additional color even for correction. Perhaps your stylist can try to weave in hair extensions of a complementary to tone down your look. You will then just have to patiently wait while the damaged hair grows out and new healthier hair grows in.
