Ear piercing pain?

I got a helix ear piercing about 6 and a half months ago, and it is still pretty sensitive. It's not infected because it isn't red, swollen and it doesn't hurt at all when I take it out.

What's up with it? It occured to me that my ear may simply reject that particular piercing, because i have double piercings in my earlobes. If it is 'rejecting' it, is there anything I can do?

My earring is 14k gold, and I don't think it's plated.
Also, if my body is rejecting it, how can i be sure?

I have several ear piercings, and all of mine took several months until they felt "normal". Give it more time, it should eventually be fine.
