Permanent Makeup

Permanent make-up consists of fine particles of iron oxide based pigment compounds which are placed precisely within the middle skin layer to provide color. The most advanced pigments are used which are fully dermatologist approved. The pigments are individually mixed to provide customized results.

How many treatments are required ?

Typically 2 treatment sessions are required and these are placed one or more weeks apart. Truly professional artistic implantation takes time and several steps to achieve the final results. Pigments are mixed to closely match the natural skin tone or hair color. Darker color can always be increased during subsequent visits. The creation of a natural hair pattern such as in the eyebrows requires the expertise of an experienced pigment specialist

The technique is also used for medical applications such as : -

Areola (nipple) tattooing following mastectomy
Eyebrow reconstruction for alopecia patients and those who have lost hai through burns, operations or accidents
Camouflage of vitaligo
Cosmetic correction of cleft palate
Correction of facial asymmetry

People who should not have treatment are those with an active skin disease or infection, women who are pregnant or breast feeding, insulin dependant diabetics, people with heart conditions and those who are prone to keloid scarring

Procedure

A ] Pre-Treatment : -

Do not apply make up.
Topical anesthetic cream is applied and lasts for 30-40 minutes.

B ] The Treatment : -

Needles are disposed of after every treatment.
Pigment is implanted into the skin; there may be some slight discomfort.

C ] Post-Treatment : -

Stay away from ultra-violet exposure, especially tanning booths, for at least 10 days. Alpha-hydroxy products and Retin-A must be kept away from treated areas
