How even of lines can I get using disposable plastic tips? I don't have an autoclave to sterilize my equipement so would rather use disposable until I can purchase one. Can I get even lines and are there anykind that are recommended to be better? Also, does the machine itself need to be sterilized?

Yes, disposable tubes work great, I myself am I neuma tattoo machine artist and ONLY use disposable tubes... I think its convenient and I like the light weight feel. I get mine from www.WWTA2.com

Now, as a professionlized tattoo artist who's got years in the industry, it's very easy to spot the new guys from the vets... and a persons motives are obvious as well, I see you want to start tattooing, and you got a kit online and now you're a tattoo artist, right? Wrong.
Tattooing is a VERY technical process that requires some very important and needed education... hopefully you are artistice (you'd be surprised how many people who can't draw walk into my shop wanting to get on as apprentices). Get some artwork together, go down to a REPUTABLE shop in your area, and apply to be an apprentice. Once you've properly learned "the ropes" you're ready to begin learning this wonderful form of artwork.
Don't just set up in the kitchen and start ruining your friends skin... trust me... it's not as easy at it would seem. Take your time, learn properly, in this kind of industry a bad reputation is very hard to escape, so do it right from jump. Good luck.
