Tattoo started peeling off but the color underneath is lighter?

I got my first tattoo 5 days ago and i know it is normal for it to peel of while healing, but i have gaps where the color is lighter. I haven't peeled it off by hand, it just came off while i was putting Bepanthen (antibiotic cream) on it. Will the color change back shades after it is healed or am i left with gaps in my tattoo?
Please help!

it is lighter in spots because where that scabbed skin was there was blood underneath it which always makes your color look darker don't get nervous let it take its course it should be fine I have 3 tattoos and it happens every time i always get nervous too because you think great i have this permanent thing and it doesnt look like it did at first but you have to remember that blood mixed in with it makes it so much darker im sure you will be fine and so will your next tattoo they are like chips you cant have just one!!!!! happy tattooing!!!
