I have been tattooing out for about a year, and would like to improve. I know, I could get a job at a shop, but around here, the artist are way to stuck up or messed up on drugs to take the time and direct me. If anyone knows, please tell me the difference in setting your liner and shader. I know that's basic, but I only turn down my power for a lighter effect, I don't even shade with a different machine. how do you shade with round liners, im use to mags, but wonder if I can get a different effect from the rounds. This is the big one; my fellow tattooist (who works in the shop) said that a Pressure Cooker does the same sanitizing as an autoclave (for tubes and such.) I know that's far fetched but is that true?
No, sanitizing in a pressure cooker is not the same as an autoclave. If you've never done an apprenticeship, you're never going to get a job in a shop. You're not a licensed artist, you shouldn't be tattooing. Find a place that will give you a proper apprenticeship, become licensed, then get a job, then you can call yourself a tattoo artist.
