What do you think of a mass shooting occurring each week in the United States?
It looks like the machines are breaking. It seems as if the stress of the recession combined with everyday life is causing people to break down. Instead of committing suicide in a lonely place it seems to be becoming fashionable to take others out with you. I am not going to delve into gun control pros or cons...you are more than welcome to if you like. I am going to ask you what you think the root causes are, what an "acceptable" level of violence in a society is, and how are you reacting to this new American phenomenon.
The root cause is the unrealistic expectation of entitlement. Disappointment is inevitable since the world really doesn't work like that.
Zero violence is the only acceptable level.
I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm very sad to read the terrible loss of life. On the other hand, I'm fairly happy to see these crazy people removed from the gene pool.
